I do not take any pre-orders, and there's no "list" to sign up for, so please don't email me and ask to be notified when they're available.
Unfortunately, the in stock notification system is built into the CoreCommerce software, and I have no control over it. It was clearly meant for slow selling items, not items that sell quickly like these boards. That means for our purposes, the in stock notification is pretty useless. Follow the forums as mentioned below for the most reliable ETA.
When out of stock, you can sign up for the in stock notification to be sent an email when they're back in stock, however that will only be useful if they stay in stock long enough for the system to notice. With the past batch, there was never a notification generated. I'd highly recommend following the OpenPilot forum for news of availability. I'll update the info there when there's a new batch on the way. The current RCG OpenPilot thread will no longer be used for updates.
OpenPilot has distributors set up in various parts of the world, partly to stay in compliance with laws governing these types of electronics, and partly to avoid customs and shipping issues. Due to ITAR rules, I can only "legally" sell the boards to people in the US and Canada, and now that Canada has their own distributor, I will be limiting sales to the US only. Orders with shipping addresses that are not in the US will be cancelled.
For those who don't know about the board, OpenPilot is an open source community, that has been working for quite some time on a new generation of flight control boards. You can read more about OpenPilot here:

The CopterControl board is the first to be available, but already it's more advanced than many which have been available for years. Amazingly, CopterControl is only the beginning! While the name says Copter, the software is being for multi rotor, and conventional helis, as well as fixed wing, and other vehicles. This is really a result of developing a robust platform, then building on that as needed. You can read more about the board here:

Everything you should need to know to operate the board should be in the documentation section of the Wiki.

David has pre-loaded software, and thoroughly tested these boards. You should NOT update the firmware on the board until after you've set it up, and verified that it's flying correctly. In order to connect to the board from your computer to do the setup for your model, you will have to load the GCS software that matches the firmware that's been pre-loaded.
This late October batch of boards all have firmware 819 on them.
